Four defining properties that make BAC WATER AU the standard choice for multi-dose reconstitution in research and clinical applications.

Benzyl alcohol is an established pharmaceutical preservative used in injectable preparations worldwide. At a concentration of 0.9% w/v, it inhibits the growth and multiplication of a broad spectrum of bacteria, making BAC WATER AU safe for repeated withdrawal from a multi-dose vial.

This preservative system complies with antimicrobial preservative effectiveness criteria as defined in USP <51> and Ph. Eur. 5.1.3.

Each batch of BAC WATER AU is produced in an ISO Class 5 cleanroom environment under full aseptic processing conditions. Terminal sterilisation is performed by filtration through a validated 0.22µm membrane, with parametric release supported by in-process environmental monitoring.

Pyrogen testing is conducted by Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) assay to confirm endotoxin levels below 0.25 EU/ml, in accordance with USP <85> and Ph. Eur. 2.6.14.

BAC WATER AU is pH-adjusted to 5.7 (range 4.5–7.0) and presents minimal ionic contribution, making it compatible with the reconstitution of a wide range of lyophilised products, including peptides, hormones, enzymes, and research compounds.

Its low conductivity and defined chemical composition support predictable solubility and minimal interference with reconstituted compound stability. Not indicated for use with neonates.

Store below 25°C, protected from light. Do not freeze. Sealed vials carry a 24-month shelf life from the date of manufacture. Once penetrated, the vial should be used within 28 days and stored at 2–8°C between withdrawals.

Inspect visually before each use. Discard if particulate matter or discolouration is observed. Single-use needle should be used for each withdrawal to maintain sterile integrity.
